PRIVATE NAVIGATION

It is advisable to use private browsing so that the history of the pages viewed is not kept. If you close the window, private browsing stops. On the other hand, if you add pages to the favorites or if you download documents, they are saved in the memory of the computer.

Depending on the Internet browser, starting private browsing is different.

If you are using Firefox

  • Click on the “Open menu” button.

  • Click on "Private window".

If you are using Internet Explorer

  • Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner then Safety > InPrivate Browsing.

If you are using Google Chrome

  • Click on "File".

  • Click on "New Incognito Window".

If you are using Safari

  • From the "File" menu.

  • Click on "New private window".

DELETE BROWSING HISTORY

If you are not browsing privately, you can still protect yourself by clearing the browsing history. Depending on the Internet browser, the procedure for erasing its traces on the Web is different.

Selecting “All History” when clearing, will also clear the history of websites that other people have visited. Doing so may create a blank cache. Confirm your choice with "Delete now", select a timeline that clears your recent history.

  • Click on "Clear Recent History". A window opens. Select timeline.

If you are using Internet Explorer

  • Select the Tools button, point to Safety, and then select Delete browsing history.

  • Choose the types of data or files you want to remove from your PC, and then select Delete.

  • Click on "History".

  • Click on "Show Full History".

  • Click on "Clear Browsing Data". Select timeline.

  • Click on "History".

  • Click on "Clear History". A window opens. Select timeline.
