L'AFRY a comme mission de répondre aux besoins de la communauté francophone de la région de York dans toute sa diversité. AFRY's mission is to meet the needs of the Francophone community of York Region in all its diversity from summer camps, to integration programs.
We may pay for a lawyer to represent you if you are a refugee claimant or an immigrant who qualifies for legal aid services. If you are eligible for legal aid but do not have a lawyer, you can choose to have either a private bar or LAO staff lawyer represent you.
If you are a refugee claimant and would like further information on how LAO may be able to help you, visit our Services for refugee claimants section. An LAO representative will help you in the language of your choice (through an interpreter if necessary).

Located in Richmond Hill, the centre provides support, counsel and guides individuals and families from diverse backgrounds and faiths. Programs are focused on Immigrants and Refugees, including settlement services, Senior Programs, Wellness programs and an Integration Network Program. Services include anything from counselling, to meal support to help with passing a citizenship test, throughout Toronto and Markham.
The Community Legal Clinic of York Region (‘CLCYR’) is a not-for-profit organization which serves low-income residents in York Region. The clinic is staffed by lawyers, paralegals and support staff and offers free legal help to those who meet our financial eligibility criteria.
CLCYR can help with legal matters relating to:

-Social Assistance: Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program, Canada Pension Plan and Guaranteed -Income Supplement

This resource is for the Asian community including Mental Health. They strive to address the mental health concerns of the Cambodian, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), Korean and Vietnamese communities.
Toronto based, this organization has a calendar of Jewish Holiday programs, as well as, a wide array of programs for Women, Seniors and Hebrew Language classes and computer classes among others.
This Employment Centre has resources and services for job seekers from all backgrounds and situations, including support for individuals with disabilities, newcomers to Canada, at-risk youth and mature workers.
Find supports here for those touched by poverty, violence, abuse and unemployment. JF&CS reaches out into all corners of the community, delivering counselling services and educational programs to address these and other issues.
The United Parents (UP) Project is designed to support parents of Black children as they navigate the education system through 3 core streams; Capacity Building Workshops, Educator Systems Navigator, and Black Parent Mentorship Program.
To provide a safe and welcoming space to meet the social and cultural needs of the Iranian-Canadian Community with the special focus on providing programs and services to newcomers, youth, and seniors. Our aim is to strengthen the capacity of the Farsi-Speaking community through education, social integration, community development and newcomer services.
Bradford and Vaughan offices provide programs to marginalized, Newcomers, Individuals on Social Assistance, and those laid off. For Seniors (See Health & Wellness) Training and placement for entrepreneurship, Family and Child Services under Community Development and Settlement and Skills Training. In partnership with CMHA - York Region, the Aging at Home program provides support services to individuals who identify as Indigenous (First Nation, Metis, Inuit), aged 45 and up that reside in the York and South Simcoe regions such as: Home visits/companionship
• Light housekeeping
• Transportation (to medical appointments, grocery stores, pharmacy, group programs, etc.)
• Congregate dining/feasts
• Culturally based group programs (ex. Traditional crafts, cooking, drum circles)
