Bereaved Families York Region provides bereavement support services by trained volunteers and staff to individuals and families grieving the death of a loved one.
Salvation Army provides support to children and families in the form of shelter, clothing, and food. As well, they provide rehabilitation counselling to individuals battling addiction.
New Path offers a range of free child and youth mental health services. Counselling services are now available in person, by phone and online. Please call 705-725-7656 or email us info@newpath.ca to book an appointment. We will get you the mental health supports you need.
Kinark provides clinical assessment and intervention to some of Ontario’s most complex and high-risk children and youth. Services are provided in the areas of Child and Youth Mental Health, Autism, Forensic Mental Health/Youth Justice.

Cedar Centre provides a unique and holistic approach to therapy, education and advocacy for those who have experienced trauma. Working from an anti-racist and anti-oppressive frameworks, serving all ages. We are committed to improving their lives through a trauma-specific therapy plan that is designed to meet each person’s unique needs, strengths and challenges.

Bradford and Vaughan offices provide programs to marginalized, Newcomers, Individuals on Social Assistance, and those laid off. For Seniors (See Health & Wellness) Training and placement for entrepreneurship, Family and Child Services under Community Development and Settlement and Skills Training. Legal Aid outlines the different services which can be done in court, in person or on the phone. This includes domestic violence, Family legal issues, Mental Health issues and more.
Rosie’s Closet provides young mothers with access to baby clothing and essential items including food, diapers and wipes, baby formula and women’s toiletries. It is located in Newmarket out of the Rose of Sharon building.
Rose of Sharon offers multiple FREE core programs and services designed to meet the specific needs and interests of young mothers and their children.
Join us every 2nd and 4th Wednesday in Sharon at 7:30 pm as LGBTQ youth and allies gather to build community and have fun! For ages 12-17 (18+ youth can come as mentors). There is also a parent’s group that runs at the same time in another location at the church on the 4th Wednesday of the month.

Leeder Place is the only emergency housing facility for families experiencing homelessness in York Region and can accommodate 60 individuals or 15 families.
