The Community Legal Clinic of York Region (‘CLCYR’) is a not-for-profit organization which serves low-income residents in York Region. The clinic is staffed by lawyers, paralegals and support staff and offers free legal help to those who meet our financial eligibility criteria.

The JRCC Furniture Depot (FD) is a non-profit program through the JRCC that aims to give free furniture to families and individuals in need.
The Homelessness Prevention Program helps eligible York Region residents, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness not receiving Ontario Works or Ontario Disability Program benefits, to stabilize their housing. Information is available on the York Region website.
We are a resource and referral center and help connect people to registered agencies and then offer further assistance via their case workers. Delivery Hope program provides survivors assistance through product distribution. This includes clothing (women, children and sometimes men), housewares, toiletries, bedding and much more.
The Housing Help Centre provides services in several locations in Newmarket, Markham, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Georgina and Thornhill. The Housing Help Centre works with both individuals and families in York Region to find and maintain affordable, safe housing. We work one-on-one with you to determine your housing needs, connect you with other government services, and to match you with landlords across the city.
The Assaulted Women’s Helpline is a free, anonymous and confidential 24-hour telephone and TTY crisis telephone line to all women in the province of Ontario who have experienced any form of abuse.
AWHL’s team of trained counsellors provide crisis counselling, safety planning, emotional support, information and referrals accessible 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
