The Rainbow Youth, York Region is a free support group that provides an opportunity for queer or questioning youth, 26 years-old and under to meet others and share their struggles, successes and stories.
We’ve made connecting with CMHA easy. If you or someone you know needs help, you can start today by browsing through the program information provided on this site. CMHA is here to help and to educate everyone: young people, adults, family members, friends, and caregivers. Together let’s erase the stigma of mental health so that everyone feels comfortable accessing services. There are locations throughout York Region in every town. The multitude of services include programs for Youth (12-25), Adults, Support including Gender Affirming Health Clinics, Supports for newcomers, Seniors, and a Transition program from hospital to home and much more.

At CAYR Community Connections we offer specialized and combined programs for:
• People living with HIV/AIDS (newly diagnosed to long-term survivors)
• People affected by or at risk of HIV and Hep C

• People who identify as 2SLGBTQ+
• People supporting vulnerable and marginalized community members

Join us every 2nd and 4th Wednesday in Sharon at 7:30 pm as LGBTQ youth and allies gather to build community and have fun! For ages 12-17 (18+ youth can come as mentors). There is also a parent’s group that runs at the same time in another location at the church on the 4th Wednesday of the month.
The Assaulted Women’s Helpline is a free, anonymous and confidential 24-hour telephone and TTY crisis telephone line to all women in the province of Ontario who have experienced any form of abuse.
AWHL’s team of trained counsellors provide crisis counselling, safety planning, emotional support, information and referrals accessible 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Located in Markham, this partner provides services to survivors of intimate partner violence/family violence/human trafficking to receive wraparound, holistic supports. We are a ‘one stop shop’ to access multiple services; Crisis Intervention, Prevention Support; Intervention Support and Basic Universal Human Service Supports.
Locations are in Newmarket, Richmond Hill and Georgina includes Transgender, Men Supports, parenting and Youth & Diversity programs.
