Kids Help Phone’s non-judgmental, inclusive services are available to young people across Canada. This means we’re here for all kids, teens and young adults from coast to coast to coast.

If you contact Kids Help Phone’s youth support services as an adult, we’ll help you get the support you need. We may refer you to another service Wellness Together Canada, Crisis Text Line Canada (text 741741), etc.

The Rainbow Youth, York Region

The Rainbow Youth, York Region is a free support group that provides an opportunity for queer or questioning youth, 26 years-old and under to meet others and share their struggles, successes and stories.

Together let’s erase the stigma of mental health so that everyone feels comfortable accessing services. There are locations throughout York Region in every town. The multitude of services include programs for Youth (12-25), Adults, Support including Gender Affirming Health Clinics, Supports for newcomers, Seniors, and a Transition program from hospital to home and much more.

CMHA

Here you will find Information on what is depression, who it affects, what you can do about it and more. Locations are throughout York Region and South Simcoe.

Check out the Bounce Back Program. This skill-building program designed to help adults & youth 15+ manage symptoms of depression and anxiety. It is designed to help adults and youth 15+ manage low mood, mild to moderate depression and anxiety, stress or worry. Delivered over the phone with a coach and through online videos, you will get access to tools that will support you on your path to mental wellness.

Girls Incorporated of York Region

There are many options for your daughter to get further community support through a variety of programs. Programs are uniquely designed based on need, age, and goal. Programming is developed for children and youth starting at age 5/6-18 years old, for those who identify as a girl. The goal is to build trusting relationships within a pro-girl and girl-only* environment, where we deliver research-based, intentional, hands-on programming.

John Howard Society of York Region

The organization has a Newmarket location. It provides programs and services to individuals who have been in conflict with the law or those at risk of that focus on crime prevention, intervention and reintegration. Sandgate, Women's Shelter of York Region Inc

Sandgate offers a wide range of services designed to support and empower women and their children who wish to transition to a life free of violence. You will find a home-like environment including;


Food, clothing, linen, personal items;
Housing support;
Access to legal and financial clinics;
Identification clinics;
Employment supports;
Personal needs allowance;
Support groups; and,
Child and youth services.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of York

There are options for your daughters and sons to get further community support. We recognize the unique and long-term impact that social isolation and uncertainty can have on the mental health and well-being of young people. In an effort to counteract these effects, BBBSY has been working hard to adapt existing services and develop new programs to ensure children and youth in our community still have access to the Mentors they need to get through this difficult time. Addiction Services of York Region

ASYR provides community treatment programs and group services to individuals who are 12 years of age and older, and their families. Located in Aurora, there are also satellite offices and community withdrawal management clinics located throughout York Region. You will find community treatment programs such as Withdrawal management centres (Detox) and phone numbers for various Addiction Support groups. There is also a Family & Friends Information & Navigation Guide and multiple workshops. The focus is on recovery.

360°Kids Support Services

The Administration is in Markham and the programs are available throughout York Region. The organization provides comprehensive services for youth in crisis and at-risk, particularly when it is not safe for them at home. Programming ranges from interventions to meet the immediate needs of youth in crisis (shelter, trauma counselling, basic needs support) to more long-term development programs (afterschool programming, academic and Employment).

Vaughan Community Health Centre
