The Homelessness Prevention Program helps eligible York Region residents, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness not receiving Ontario Works or Ontario Disability Program benefits, to stabilize their housing. Information is available on the York Region website.
ASYR provides community treatment programs and group services to individuals who are 12 years of age and older, and their families. Located in Aurora, there are also satellite offices and community withdrawal management clinics located throughout York Region. You will find community treatment programs such as Withdrawal management centres (Detox) and phone numbers for various Addiction Support groups. There is also a Family & Friends Information & Navigation Guide and multiple workshops. The focus is on recovery.

We are a resource and referral center and help connect people to registered agencies and then offer further assistance via their case workers. Delivery Hope program provides survivors assistance through product distribution. This includes clothing (women, children and sometimes men), housewares, toiletries, bedding and much more.

The pantry provides a 3-day emergency food supply to residents of Newmarket and East Gwillimbury, which includes canned and packaged food, fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy, meat and bread (when available). A community-based multicultural agency providing employment, educational, settlement and social services to all immigrant communities, new Canadians and individuals in need of assistance. Services are available in over 60 languages. Of special interest: Language instruction.
The Administration is in Markham and the programs are available throughout York Region. The organization provides comprehensive services for youth in crisis and at-risk, particularly when it is not safe for them at home.
