Bradford and Vaughan offices provide programs to marginalized, Newcomers, Individuals on Social Assistance, and those laid off. For Seniors (See Health & Wellness) Training and placement for entrepreneurship, Family and Child Services under Community Development and Settlement and Skills Training. Sandgate, Women's Shelter of York Region Inc

Sandgate offers a wide range of services designed to support and empower women and their children who wish to transition to a life free of violence. You will find a home-like environment including;


Food, clothing, linen, personal items;
Housing support;
Access to legal and financial clinics;
Identification clinics;
Employment supports;
Personal needs allowance;
Support groups; and,
Child and youth services.

Banac

In partnership with CMHA - York Region, the Aging at Home program provides support services to individuals who identify as Indigenous (First Nation, Metis, Inuit), aged 45 and up that reside in the York and South Simcoe regions such as: Home visits/companionship
• Light housekeeping
• Transportation (to medical appointments, grocery stores, pharmacy, group programs, etc.)
• Congregate dining/feasts
• Culturally based group programs (ex. Traditional crafts, cooking, drum circles)

Big Brothers Big Sisters of York

There are options for your daughters and sons to get further community support. We recognize the unique and long-term impact that social isolation and uncertainty can have on the mental health and well-being of young people. In an effort to counteract these effects, BBBSY has been working hard to adapt existing services and develop new programs to ensure children and youth in our community still have access to the Mentors they need to get through this difficult time. Rosie's Closet

Rosie’s Closet provides young mothers with access to baby clothing and essential items including food, diapers and wipes, baby formula and women’s toiletries. It is located in Newmarket out of the Rose of Sharon building.

Social Services Network

Some highlights of the programs include programs for seniors who feel isolated, South Asian Adult Day Program, and a Fall Prevention Program. There is also resident led programs such as Zumba and Tai Chi and more.
